Textual SEO
There is a lot to be said for getting the html right in your website, and getting the right title tags and all that other stuff that only a few mysterious people with long beards, crystal balls and big staffs seem to know anything about, but you can do an awful lot more than you think with a bit of textual search engine optimisation…
I suppose the best way to explain this type of SEO to you would be to provide an example. Well, let me see if i can put it quite plainly. First you need to know what you are selling, or what you think someone will be searching for on the internet that relates to your product or service. For example if you sell red coffee cups then your market are people who want to buy red coffee cups, yes? So, logically you would imagine that someone searching for red coffee cups would be typing the phrase red coffee cups into their chosen search engine, yes?
With me so far? That’s good. Now just look at the last paragraph i wrote and you’ll see that the phrase red coffee cups appeared quite often. This is call search engine optimisation, and it’s a type of optimisation that anyone can do on their website or blog. Google and all the other big boys will go searching for the surfers search term and find your post because you wrote their phrase often in your text. Simple really.
