Seo – Using Web 2.0 Sites To Build Backlinks
November 22nd, 2008 by adminSeo – Using Web 2.0 Sites To Build Backlinks
One of the hottest new trends in building backlinks is using the web 2.0 style websites to build powerful backlinks to a website. This is a great way of creating a backlink because it allows for keyword targeting on a custom built page with content. What I mean is that the link that you build is going to be coming from a webpage that is designed specifically to match the content of the main website that you are linking too. For that reason, google will value the link since it is coming from a related content page.
You might be wondering what type of web 2.0 websites I am talking about, so let me tell you about a few of the most popular web 2.0 sites to build backlinks.
Squidoo
This is an awesome website, one of my favorites! Squidoo allows members to sign up for a free account and become a “lensmaster” which is their name for their members. The next step is to create what they like to call a “lens” which is just a fancy name for a webpage. They allow you to choose your own url which is squidoo.com/your-chosen-url and so that makes it easy to keyword optimize the page. They allow you to add content to the page along with a bunch of other cool features.
Weebly
One of the newer web 2.0 websites, weebly is another great website for creating free blogs or webpages. Weebly allows you to create a basic blog style website that is hosted from their site as well. They are similar to squidoo except for the style of free page that they offer. Again, weebly lets you decide your url and add your own content, including the links back to your website. This is a good site that is recommended for people who are new to using the web 2.0 to build mini sites.
There are plenty of other web 2.0 sites to build backlinks and so you should try to create as many free pages as possible to build a good amount of backlinks to your website. Over time the free pages that you link up to your website will gain a good PageRank and pass it down to your website, as well as help your sites keyword rankings!
