SEO Keywords
Choosing the right keywords is absolutely essential in search engine optimisation. If you’ve got the wrong keywords in your text you will not get the traffic you want; it’s that simple…
So how do you go about getting the right traffic? Well first you have to consider what people search for when they search for someone like you on the internet. If you sell toy dolls then people are likely to be typing in “dolls” or “toys” or “toy dolls”. So what do you do with this information? You spread these search terms liberally throughout the text of your website or blog. A blog works better here since you update it regularly.
But, particularly with a term such as “toy dolls”, the competition is fierce, and you may have to work a little harder to beat those businesses that have a little more money and have paid for a pay per click advertsising campaign or greater. These big boys are likely to make it to the top every time. There is something you can do however, and it’s not that hard. You can do a Google search for a keyword tool; Google has the best in my opinion. When you have it, type in your website page or suggested search term. This is a wonderful tool because the results it brings back show you all the keywords that are relevant to the keyword or phrase you just entered. The best part is that it also shows you how much competition you have for each keyword or phrase. To beat the big boys you need to work on the ones that have less competition. There might not be as many people searching for the term but you’ll still get plenty of business optimising your website using lesser known keywords.
