Helpful Hints for Getting Links

I’ve already talked about getting links and how important they can be.  I’ve also mentioned that you need to place keywords in links to increase your SEO.  You can read the previous post here if you want some background knowledge before continuing…

So the best way to go about getting links is to search for your own site and see what comes up basically.  Now you don’t want to choose sites that offer the same product or service as you obviously!  But you could do with building links with people who offer something similar or rather complimentary to your site.  For example, if you sell used cars, you might want to link with someone who sells car insurance.  That’s just an example of course, there are many different things you can search for, and i am sure you’ll have lots of fun finding them.

However, what you must also consider is that other people will be doing the same as you, so you could make their life a little easier.  If they want to link to you put a “Link to Us” page on your website.  When you do this print it all out for them and include the entire HTML tag and what you want them to use as keywords.  Then allow them to leave you their details and i think you’ll find a lot more people signing up to exchange links with you this way.
