Get the right product.

So when you’ve decided you’re going to be an affiliate marketer on the internet, and run your own blog, you’ll need to sell the right thing.  There’s no point in selling step ladders to dogs is there?  It simply won’t catch on, and even if it did, you’d need to be a marketing ninja to make it work…

I’m assmuming that you are not a marketing ninja because if you are you wouldn’t be here unless you were checking what someone else had written for you (someone you were paying).  So let us begin by finding that product.

It isn’t always as easy as finding a gap in the market and filling it, simply because what you’re doing means that someone will have already filled the gap; you are merely making a few quid by pointing people in the right place to get what they want.  The best way to choose i think is to pick a person similar to yourself and ask yourself what you need, and what you buy.  You are far more likely to be able to write blog posts about something you already buy, rather than something you know nothing about; even if it is a great product.  For example, i am a man, and i don’t choose to use leg wax, and i simply know nothing about it because i’ve never used it.  Now i wouldn’t pretend to be able to market this stuff to women would i?  It simply wouldn’t work, because i know nothing about it!  Pick something you know.  We’ll talk more on this in a couple of days.
