Google never sits still and is about to launch their new product, Wave. Wave is designed to bring together Social Networking, Email and other communications into one interface and knowing Google it’s bound t be a success. Wave is part of Google’s effort to bring real time information to people and will work hand in hand with Google Caffeine when this is released.

Just like Gmail when it was first launched Wave is only open to invites, we hope to be on the first list of users and will let you all know what it’s like.

Googles No-Follow Changes

All you need to know about Google’s No-Follow Changes

As you have probably heard Google has made some changes to the way that it handles no-follow tags. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this change so this post is here to clear things up

What are the changes

No follow tags are used by SEO’s and Web Developers to sculpt the page rank of their websites by telling search engines not to pass Page Rank onto the pages markes with the rel = no follow tag. This means that the Page Rank could be kept within the page or passed to chosen pages to enhance those. No follow tags are most widely used on links to pages such as privacy policies, contact us and about us pages

The strangest thing about these changes is that it has been said that Google made these changes about one year ago but no body noticed

How will they affect me?

If you use no follows to sculpt the Page Rank on internal links in your site then you will no longer get this benefit. If you site uses no follows so that page rank does not pass to another external site then as long as your happy to pass on link strength but not PR then you need make no changes…
