Blogging
Writing blogs can be fun and entertaining, especially of you have a particular group of friends on a social networking site for example, who subscribe to your blog and enjoy reading it. But have you ever though about monetising your blog?…
You can do this in so many ways it becomes virtually impossible to tell you them all in a blog of this size. But you could begin by perhaps becoming a member of one of the many affiliate programmes out there on the internet these days. So many people are doing this professionally and making lots and lots of money, there seems to be no reason why we all can’t. If you don’t mind pushing a product to the visitors of your website then give it a go.
Basically an affiliate programme works by you placing adverts to a website that sells a product or service. If someone clicks on the link from your website and makes a purchase, you are rewarded, usually with a percentage of the sale or a one time agreed payment.
What you need to do is evaluate who actually visits your site. If you write casual ramblings on there about how you feel about the world and how you feel about particular TV programmes and people and animals and aeroplanes, and basically a bunch of random stuff, then it isn’g going to be too easy. You could basically place an add for anything on your blog and just hope that people like the product or service. What you need to do is focus your blog on one or two things, get people interested in it if you can, and then place a couple of very carefully targeted ads for products that relate to what your visitors have been reading.
