Meebo is a relatively new face in the Instant Messaging arena. Meebo launched in September 2005 to “bring Instant Messaging to the Web”. For those of you that have not seen or used Meebo before, Meebo allows you to keep in contact with all of your Instant Messenger (IM) contacts in one place.

Talk to You Clients Using Meebo

For those of you that use instant messengers to stay in contact with past, present and future clients Meebo can be a very effective tool. Before I started using Meebo I had to make a concerted effort to make sure that from time to time I sign into each of my messenger clients and say hi. With Meebo I can be signed into all of these at once.

Use Meebo to Talk to Your Prospects

The same goes for prospects. Because Meebo is web based you can install a small tool onto your website so that prospective clients can use this to ask you about your products and services. This is a great way to save on the cost of Live Help or Support systems.

Run a support desk to your company, Meebo allows operators to have multiple conversations with clients at once. Better still your clients do not have to install a messenger client for this to work. Simply drop the online chat widget onto your website and people can contact you from there. Better still include this in your support site and you have an online support desk ready to go.
